Great. At 24VDC, that relay draws about 80 mA, or about 2 watts.

Maybe those 40 ohm relays are all in series...or something.

Maintenance manuals for SCR-274-N series (aka Army "ARC-5") say 300 ohms, +/-10%. A transmitter relay on my workbench (part #7252) measured about 315 ohms.
