Interesting device. I never heard of it before now.. So the operator had to crank that wheel while copying code?
Maybe you can find a spool of recording wire that was used on the precursor of the tape recorder.?
I also noticed that the magnets are arranged in opposition (S-S) . I don't this will "write" a "direction" of the domains as much as N-S arrangement might.?
