Has anyone tried remaking them with casting urethane used in the prop and casting industry? I think you can get it as low as a 30 Durometer. You would need to make a plate to hold the stud in the correct position and then pour the resin and probably put in a degasser for the best best results. Might be able to find some casting silicone that would work as well. See if you have a local shop that carries casting supplies.
