Burn out something electronic, scratch  some of the burnt ash into a jar, mix with varnish and paint a small part inside the case.

No matter new or old electronics, unless you do something about matching the short antenna the BC-611 has , you’ll still have a transceiver with the world’s worst antenna.  You’ll just have a transceiver that still has krappy range, but the electro is would be newer.

I am trying to get back to my project to build a 3885 AM transmitter-receiver into a reproduction BC-611 case.  I think I keep putting this project aside because the parts do not have the proper smell.

Has anyone bottled the vintage military gear and/or MFP smell?  I definitely need it for this project.
