This summer I personally joined the Amateur Radio ranks. Passed my Tech in July and General in September at the Swap Meet in Laurel, DE. I am now active with the Nanticoke Amateur Radio Club in Seaford, DE.
I am also the V.P. of the Mid-Atlantic Antique Radio Club (MAARC) that meets in Davidsonville, MD and Centreville, VA, and we are again holding our big FallFest event on 20 October at the Davidsonville Family Recreation Center, 3789 Queen Anne Bridge Road, Davidsonville, MD 21035. As usual, we will expect many, many lots of equipment for sale this year, including some fine ham gear, and quite a bit of vintage HiFi gear. Gates will open at 8:00 AM for the flea market. We will have a Walk-around auction of lower end gear at 11:00 AM. Our Main Inside Auction will stare at 12:30 PM (earlier if there is rain). As usual, the Boy Scouts will be offering food and beverages for purchase.
We know for certain we will be seeing the following Ham Gear at our Main Auction:
Collins 180L-3 antenna tuner
E.F. Johnson Thunderbolt
E.F. Johnson Viking II
HealthKit Marauder
HealthKit Mohawk
Henry Radio 2002A Linear Amp
ICOM IC-745 transceiver
Kenwood TM-2530A 2-meter rig
Kenwood TS-850S
Swan Mark II with power supply
Yaesu FT-2000
Raycal RA-17 receiver
For the true vintage radio collector, there will be an Atwater Kent Model 10 breadboard in near mint condition. As a rarity, we will also be featuring a Hallicrafters T-54 TV set.
I would say at least 20% to 25% of the items at our auctions and flea markets are Amateur Radio related and about a third of our members are Hams. I have attached 2 flyers about the event, and the link to FallFest details on our website is https://maarc.org/radio-fallfest-2024/. I would appreciate it if you circulated this information to other radio enthusiasts.

Subject: RE: [ARC5] MAARC RadioActivity Vintage Electronics Show
The Mid-Atlantic Antique Radio Club (MAARC) is once again holding their three-day RadioActivity event in Annapolis, MD this year on June 13-15 at the Byzantium Center, 2747 Riva Road. I would say at least 20% to 25% of the items at our auctions and flea markets are ARC-5 related (military radios and test equipment), and about a third of our members are Hams. I have attached 2 flyers about the event, and the link to RadioActivity details on our website is https://maarc.org/radioactivity-2024/. The event is open to everyone. Hope to see you there.
