And, yes, the process slows down as it proceeds.
I purposely bought quite a few crystals in the high 6 Mhz range for this purpose.
What I wanted was a series of 40 meter crystals 5 kHz apart covering the CW section of the band, then later, planned to split the difference with another series.
I never did find enough high-3 Mhz crystals to attempt the same thing for 80.
So far, life has gotten in the way of that project, of course.
I started it and made two crystals for 40, then had to set it aside.
I'll find my notes and will report here as soon as I can.
