My SCR-274-N is a typical 3/2 set up, no vhf. But the ARC-5 system I’m putting together is a 4/3 set, with a complete vhf set included. If I can find two more 8 pin female connector for the R-1/ARR-1, I would add that to either the SCR-284-N or the ARC-5. I have a complete ARR-2 set up for the ARC-5, so I’m thinking more using the ARR-1 with the SCR-274. But the ARC-5 and SCR-274 have to take a back burner right now - there is still a lot to do for on the ART-13/ARB and the AN/ARC-1 sets going into the 1944 TBM Avenger in Virginia Beach. I did get an ARB donated to that cause, along with a donor ARB. Between parts from that ARB parts radio and some extras I had sitting around, I was able to put together one donated ARB with a good shock mount, and with the two extra coffee grinders and the extra pilots and operators control boxes I had, I now have a complete ARB for that set up. I’m still looking for the bottom half of the shock mount for the ART-13, and cabling for the ARC-1. The C-45 Control box for the ARC-1 was also donated. Many thanks.
I do have an ATB/ARB set I’m doing for me, but that is also very back burner until things are finished with the stuff going to Virginia Beach. The ATB, in particular, needs a lot of love ( and a pilots control box for the two place set up. I found an ATB operators control box quite by accident ). As with any project radio, I have to gather all the parts needed first, and we all know how that can go.
I’m not taking on any more projects until I complete everything I’m currently working on. There is just too much on my plate already.

Hi Peter
Thanks for sharing! Very nice! What is the unit beneath the light bulb? It looks to be a HB matching unit attached to the back of the BC-456 Modulator, but there appears to be a nameplate on the unit that is washed-out in the photo.
