Anyone out there running an ARC-39?

I am thinking of putting one in my FJ cruiser, I am developing a “pallet” that I can mount various, mostly aircraft, radios in back, and use my HiQ antenna as a surrogate for the low impedance antennas most of these rigs are looking for.

I have never had this rig mobile, and I finally found the remote box, so I’m motivated.  I have a 40A 14-28VDC converter floating a small battery.  Just wondering if anyone has ever gone mobile with this very cool little ARC radio.  It’s like a whole suite of command sets packed into one self-contained box. 2-9.1 MHz, ten crystal-controlled channels, 15-20 W AM.  The rig I am staring at was Walt Hutchens (KJ4KV), and was featured in Electric Radio “Radios in Uniform”, June 1993 (#50).
