I try to check ten meters frequently but thus far in spite of the sunspot numbers I'm not hearing much activity or openings.
I have been spending most of my operating time on 17 and 15 meters but signals are generally low and I've not noted very many significant DX openings. Most days there is some sporadic E hops across the states but I'm not hearing the bands acting like I would expect for the sunspot numbers. Maybe there is something else going on that is increasing absorption at the same time the sunspots are increasing.
I crave the wide-open upper bands (including 6m) that I remember from multiple decades ago.
Don't mind me... I am the Ghost of Sunspot-Cycles-Past.
