Hi Dave - Not a "fan" per-se, but I do have an APR-1 and 3 of the tuning units. It works well receiving the local VHF/UHF airport tower and GA comms although it is pretty "deaf" by today's standards. (Not an issue in its intended use...) An antenna-mounted preamp helps considerably..

Speaking of which - anyone have a surplus power cable connector for one of these? 4 - pin female, AC/DC power, PN AN-3108-22-4S.
