Neat – I read one about Feynman’s adventures up there. I’ll get the one you mentioned. I have the Kindle app on 5 devices, but use the Ipad or my desktop for reading most of the time. Thanks & 73 – Mike

Oh, no question.  I grew up on Sandia Base in Albuquerque and have been up to The Hill many times since then.  One of the best books I've ever read about Los Alamos during the Oppenheimer years was written by the granddaughter of James B. Conant, who had tons of paper from her grandfather to draw on.  It's entitled 109 East Palace, by Jenet Conant, named for the only address that was used for the secret site.  Everything went through that building for directions on how to get up to The Hill.  It is absolutely fascinating.  I got it years ago on Amazon as a Kindle book and am re-reading it before the movie comes out..

Hi Mike –

Regardless, I am looking forward to when it become available for streaming. I looked at the credits and noted that even Feynman will be in it. 73 – Mike

Saw an advertisement for the new movie "Oppenheimer" about the development of the atomic bomb.  They showed a scene from a laboratory in which scientific instruments were on a workbench.  Included was one of their most vital instruments.  A BC-348!

Prop department major fail.  😁  The truth isn't too far from that - here's a photo of the test rack for the weapons.  Note the Halli S-27/S-36 on top to check out the four AN/APS-13 bomb fuses.
