'Wireless World' sometime in the late 1980s to early 1990s had an article describing a ferrite loop antenna for MW AM broadcast. It used 2 standard loop coils and i think phased in such a way that their voltages did not cancel and also was not directional. I am sure i would not toss such an interesting article so i have to beieve i have it stashed somewhere. Proves that computers are better for archiving as long as you name file adequately. I lived in Albany Oregon in early 2000s and liked to listen to 'Tales of the Texas Rangers' old time programs from LA CA KNX 1070. The only way it was listenable in my apartment was by loop
- ferrite bar anyenna. Any kind of wire antenna, noise was just too strong.
