Jeez, doesn’t anybody use filters anymore?  My WW2 vintage vehicles has all kinds of grounding straps and filters to cut down/ eliminate RFI noise.  A more elaborate set of filters may be needed, but that is all. Or electric car manufacturers could be required to put the needed filters in.

Aren’t there FCC regulations that deal with RFI problems?  Electric cars would also cause  RFI problems for a lot of ham operators.

The problem is NOT that AM radios interfere

Your info is slightly out of date. Congress is moving to require AM radios in all vehicles ( https://www.axios.com/2023/05/17/am-radio-congress-cars ) which directly lead to Ford reversing course and keeping AM radio's in their vehicles ( https://www.theverge.com/2023/5/23/23734497/ford-am-radio-reverse-decision-ev-interference ).
