I've seen that advocated in YouTube videos & elsewhere, too, but like all the other "swear by" solutions, some say it doesn't work as well as claimed. Also, the fluid & acetone don't really mix, one is just suspended in the other & I've always wondered if they don't separate again after application.

I've been told from aviation sources that a 50/50 mixture of automatic transmission fluid and acetone is the best penetrating oil for stuck screws. But I have not tried it. Yet.
