Good Morning, 

Attached are measurements taken on two receivers here, a BC-453B and a Type 12 R-11A. 

One set of graphs shows the DC output from the second detector vs supply voltage, 

and the other set shows B supply current vs supply voltage.

In each case the longer line represents the unmodified circuit and the shorter 

line represents the screen bus tied to the plate bus by shorting the upper 7K resistor.

For the currents in this configuration the draw of the remaining lower 7K resistor 

was calculated and subtracted. 

Gain was set to maximum and the input signal  was loose coupling to the IF of 

a broadcast receiver tuned to a strong local station.
