Not that i come across such flex cable on my own very often, but i think i should learn the characteristics
of the various sizes:
Of that list, with the exception of the RCA commercial, there are
only two different kinds of cables, Hue. My article at
https://aafradio.org/garajmahal/flex_drive_cables.html covers
details of the two types.
These sets use the larger sheath cable, which has a thread of
5/8"-27: SCR-183/283 RU-GF Bendix MN-series SCR-269-series
ARN-6 (and a host of other sets - mostly Bendix in origin.)
These sets use the smaller sheath diameter cable, which has a thread
of 1/2"-27: AN/ARC-5 SCR-274 ARA-ATA (and a lot of postwar
radios, which I don't track.)
Now, the cable on ebay says the threads "look to have
5/8”-24 Thread" but I don't know how accurate his assertion
is. Looking doesn't trump using a good thread gauge and confirming
the TPI. The cables I have run into with that thread will not
fit the military threaded receiver fittings without using pliers.
