The bottom line is that "reality shows" are anything but "reality."

I remember when Antiques Road Show started you had a mix of valuable and common objects. It seemed more realistic. They have changed the editing so that only treasures are displayed.

We should keep in mind that all of these "Realism" shows are heavily edited and cater to the their audience who are looking for get-rich schemes or happy endings.
