I managed to find a deal on a Motorola bench supply that came out of the the Dallas PD radio shop. 0-50 volts and 0-50 amps. I scarfed it up as it will power up either of my airplane project radio systems completely. One has 3 ARC-5 receivers, two transmitters and an SCR-269 radio compass system. It also includes a rotary converter for the 115VAC/ 400 cycles for the AC bus.

There are a large number of ones available via Amazon, but for me, I'd hang out on the evilbay and find a used Kepco, Sorenson, Lamday, or HP supply that wasn't real  expensive or far away.

Subject: [ARC5] 24vdc power

Hey guys,

What's everybody using to provide 24vdc for your military radios? Two
12vdc supplies in series?  Home brew?  Do they make a 24vdc switching
supply that will handle 10 amps or so?

Thanks for your input,
