Concur. My Dash-1 clearly shows. The BC-348 mounted on the open support frame is a giveaway for early C54. Radio gear was in racks further aft in later DC-4 and DC-6 aircraft.  Last one I saw was at Sembach and Ramstein in 1968.  2nd MOB flightline bldg was just off the main parking area.  Starting oil smoke was impressive but the engine noise was absolutely classic.
