Note the description/caption to left of operator chairback shows aircraft is a YB-29!  This indicates a pre-production aircraft!  NOT typical, just non permanent/final installation!

It's a B-29 radio position, all right. The difference is in deployed airframes where the ART-13 is found in the identical location, down left from the radio operator.
