Gang,

I have one of the Heath units around here somewhere, but I have others that I like better: a PRM-10 and both a Measurements 59 and 59LF.  The latter gets you down to 100 KHz for IF'ish things.  However, my current favorite is my Grundig Resonanzmeter I  Model 709.  Covers 100KHz to 20 MHz out of the box and is reasonably small.

I had the GD-1A years ago. Was OK but the Millen I have now is light years better. Also have the Heath FET dipper, it’s not nearly as strong on the output (has to be much closer to get an observable dip) as the Millen. And the black foam in the case was nasty!
