Wulfsberg is not German. The had engineering in Prescott, AZ, Manufacturing in Washington, and I believe they were snarfed up by BK in the early nineties, which is now Honeywell, and I think the Wulfsberg name has disappeared.
They were known for their Flitefones, and for FM high band aircraft radios, as well as multi-band radios used by Forestry, law enforcement and government aircraft. The RT-9600 transceiver was a mainstay of their line for years. Technisonic
Fill the vacuum now, there are probably others as well, don’t follow it anymore. The Motorola Syncom 10 was also competition for the RT-9600, both nice radios.
I was once a Becker and Wulfsberg dealer back in the late eighties and nineties, when I owned an Avionic repair station, specializing in warbirds and airtanker/govt. contract aircraft.

Believe that is correct. They were imported for cabin-class airborne telephone service. I believe that Wolfsburg and Becker (sp?) made vhf aero and telephones.
