I am going to get things checked out. Something I really do question about the diagnosis is that the only symptom I seem to have is the enlarged lymph nodes. No weight loss, no easy bruising, no nausea, no unexplained fatigue. Something just isn’t right. I go Monday for more tests, a PET scan bloodwork. Whatever it is, I plan to beat it. I have too many boat-anchor projects in the works. And weddings to go to, and grand-nephews and grand nieces to meet.

Please let us know what you learn. I have a couple of very good friends who are cancer survivors, one twice. It changes your life and affects everyone around you. It is certainly possible to get a false positive and they should always be retested. Second opinion is vital. My almost wife was told, and I was told, she was going to die. She didn't because there was a new procedure. It saved her. One result of surviving cancer is that you forever after watch your back. My friend is very courageous and strong. I think she survived mostly because she decided she was going to. She just didn't let it happen and pursued the medicine until she found the specialist at U of C who did the procedure.
Do not give up, persevere. Don't get scared into not following up everything out there.

As I research more about what the CAT scan found, I get a bit of light:
1) the swollen lymph nodes may be a leftover of having the COVID virus. This is new.
2) the cancers also normally include a weight loss. And chills and nausea. I have not lost any weight, at least not yet. No chills. No nausea.
I have more than a few questions for the doctors who are telling me it’s probably cancer of some sort before we do any more tests. I think it may be time for a second opinion - and perhaps a change of doctors.

I’m heading into the hospital on Friday to have the ticker
worked on. Hopefully outpatient. I’ll be out of
circulation for about a week. If it turns out not to be
outpatient, there was this nurse in the Cardiac Unit that
had the best looking caboose I have ever encountered, so
there’s that sight to look forward to ( hey, I’m old, I’m
not dead ). No lifting anything over 10 lbs - doctors
orders. If I don’t get a chance to beforehand, I’ll shoot
a text out after everything is done and I wake up on Friday.
