Hi Taigh,

At CHRS (Alameda) we get bits and pieces all the time as donations.  Please send me a list off-line as to what you are looking for (or share it on-line).

Best wishes for your restoration.  I am impressed that this PBY sank three subs!

Hello gang,

I am helping to find the radio and equipment compliment for an early PBY restoration. This aircraft, BuNo 2459, was originally built as a PBY-5 without retractable wheels but was modified to a PBY-5A amphibious version during the war. She went on to sink three U boats and has an amazing history. She is now back in the US and is being brought back to a stock configuration which is very rare amongst PBY’s these days. She will be a flier too where people will be able to see her and her authentic interior.

The big items needed are the GO-9 and ATB but the little stuff is needed too. As much as we can find to make her as complete as possible. Photo of the radio compartment is attached.

Any help or leads are appreciated.

Thanks,

Taigh
