I'm not one to be afraid of components containing dielectric oil with PCBs (Pyranol, Dykanol, Diachlor, Chlorinol, Hyvol, Interteen, Chlorextol, Askarel, etc). Like you, I try not to suck on them or use the oil for frying chicken.
But there is another reason I try not to use them. I feel there is a significant risk if there is a fire. It is my understanding that if burned, PCB oil can produce some really nasty toxins that are much worse than the PCB itself.
