That slippery boot is my biggest bugaboo.  The darn plastic only handles correctly within a narrow temp range.

The plastic boot, when warm, is "slippery," making
the clip rotate when you try to open it, so the
jaws turn sideways and close.  Frustrating.  When
the weather turns cold, the boots get hard and
difficult to open.  I'll sure try the ones you mention
and thanks.
