Subject: RE: RU-18 receiver
If it's possible, please look up the connector numbers. I do have the manual, but it's some work.
I really should list the connector numbers, shouldn't i ? It has been a while, but i think i made a copy of the junction box and all the connectors that go to it.
David Stinson of the milsurplus group wrote that he'd put a feedback wire near the RF grid, something like that, to get some more selectivity for 80 meter AM. I have thought about methods but not done anything. I have plenty of projects already !! But i think i would change the BFO to a Q-multiplier for AM instead. As for control, i don't know yet how i would do that.
I will find and look at the manual tomorrow, Saturday. I have a large number of GP and RU connectors but some specific ones seem to be in very small supply, just enough for the radios i have. I do want to get rid of all the RUGF sets and parts i have. I have carried this stuff around with me since 1985. I think that's long enough.
BTW, at the Puyallup hamfest about 5 years ago, i saw offered, two models of the AC mains supply, both the large one that's seen occasionally, and a much smaller unit i'd never seen before. I think i maybe should have bought them just to match them up with sets i wanted to assemble.

I saw your post on Facebook about the RUGF receivers and it looked like you were saying that you had a lot of parts for the radios. I recently purchased an RU-18 and I want to build an interface to it. I need the 10 pin female connector that plugs into the front. Or an old cable I can scrounge the connector from. Do you have anything like that?
