In some of the AR-88 handbooks on line is a sheet for adding a meter to a receiver without one. I am pretty sure it gives the dimensions. My AR-88 is an F. This is the version used in the triple diversity rig. One of the mods is an IF gain control to equalize the gain of the three receivers. It serves no purpose in a stand alone receiver but is in the right place to drive the signal meter. You need a trimmer for the meter. On mine the signal indication is surprisingly accurate. The F has a couple of other simple mods to the AVC which are easily undone and result in smoother operation for a stand alone receiver.Sent from my GalaxyRichard Knoppow Los AngelesWB6KBL

I have a nice example of a R45/ARR-7 receiver. I can check those dimensions for you tomorrow (1/1)NO, do not do this. I already know this is the S meter for the ARR-5, 7 receivers. I owned an ARR-7; in fact, i swapped a late solidstate recfor it. My mistake, but i had to have it. I found that the ARR -7 did not have any bandspread control, which turned me off.My question is, will it fit the AR-88. I am not convinced it will, and do not want to waste it.-Hue ______________________________________________________________ARC5 mailing listHome: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/arc5Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htmPost: mailto:ARC5 at mailman.qth.netThis list hosted by: http://www.qsl.netPlease help support this email list: https://www.qsl.net/donate.html
