[ARC5] Alfred Vail - the true inventor of 'Morse' code

I for one believe Vail. Morse was not much of an engineer. Vail's claim
of having estimated the frequency of occurrence of letters by consulting
a newspaper office is the kind of cleverness that's frankly hard to
attribute to Morse.
It doesn't help Morse's case that he spent much of the rest of his life
trying to get Congress to appropriate funds to fight the certain
invasion of the US by Vatican forces. A bit of a nutter Morse was.
