The EZ6 , DF receiver i think used with the FuG10 set, was only, less than a 8 inch cube. I wonder what the thinking about the upper limit of 1.2 MHz was.
It had a ferrite bar DF antenna. I have the receiver and antenna but haven't done anything with them for years. I think the receiver is actually a compact
marvel. The knobs, which are flat and fold flush into the front panel, are ingenious. The receiver may have been a bear to repair, however.
I recall on a trip to Germany in 1973 the FuG10 components were still listed by what we in the USA would call "surplus stores", catch-all second-hand
shops. I also recall seeing in a militaria magazine a photo of in Denmark a field full of German twin engine aircraft May 1945, all parked ready for use but
destined for the metal cualdron. How we would have enjoyed the allowance of even a few minutes inspecting them inside.
