I think litz has been explained.  Litz a contraction of litzendraht meaning woven wire.   You will find more on the web.  It's purpose is to reduce "skin effect" at frequencies between about mid audio and about  2 Mhz. Outside this range it has no advantage over plain wire.  Sent from my Galaxy
