[ARC5] Litz Wire and Failed IF Transformers

Dear people smarter than me:
Good Morning.  I'm working on an article about
failed RF and IF coils wound with Litz wire, and seek those
with experience subbing regular small insulated copper.

I understand the theory to justify using Litz Wire
in IF/RF coils of a receiver.  Subbing regular copper
for Litz should make a notable difference in circuit Q
and amplifier bandwidth.  I have done this in
receiver IF and RF Amplifier Circuits.

I'm sure if I set up the service monitor "magic box"
I could chart a measurable effect, but in practical terms-
there's little difference listening to the local 3890 KC
gang or the mil nets.
After all- I'm not seeking to make DXCC using an NC-44;
it would fulfil my needs just fine.

Have you had any such cases?
What do you think about the practical differences
between a Litz-wound IF and a copper-wound IF
when a correct part is not available?
Have also installed a BCB receiver IF (6BE6 or BA6 IIRC)
into a 6SK7 circuit and it worked OK.
