[ARC5] Power Supply for ARC5 transmitters

The Hp23 has a plate voltage of 820v , The max plate voltage for the the 1625 is 750V, but the other components were not designed for this potential. resistive dividers would dissipate greater than 50 watts! So, not an option in this case. The variac may be the best choice if you have one beefy enough to handle the wattage.
I assume you are going to run a separate power supply for the filaments? Are they still at 24volts series-parallel or was this T-22 converted to 12v?  I recall that DC is required because of oscillator circuit (1625) uses the filament in the feedback loop.
Do you have the MD7 modulator? That would simplify things greatly.

You could always put a variac on the HP-23 and use a separate transformer
for the filaments.  That way no mods and no wasted power either.
