[ARC5] Foreign NDB's and PBY Radios

I have noted that usually aircraft ADF sets have a BFO, supposedly because many foreign NDB's use CW rather than AM transmissions. I just recently picked up the receiver and control box for a ARN-83 ADF but have not yet looked into it

The later military ADF sets went up to 3MHZ . By the way I still have a Cessna ADF system for sale if anyone wants one.

As for USN aircraft, I have a rather extensive collection of pilot's manuals and usually the Navy manuals do not describe the radios but say to refer to the manuals for whatever equipment is installed.
