It’s a bit dated, even when it was published. Some of the info might have been correct when this manual was first compiled, but a bit outdated by 1943. Lots of 12 volt powered radios still listed as issued, even though by early 1943, the USAAF had converted to 24 volt, and as the older aircraft were replaced/rebuilt, 12 volt electrical systems were replaced by 24 volt electrical systems. I wonder is there is either a 1944 or 1945 update to this manual.

Somewhere out, there is a book, most of us used to have it, but I’ll be darn if I remember the name. Inside it had silhouettes of just about all the major aircraft for us and allies, and also had little black dots with the radio systems that were installed in that aircraft. This was early war so was good for like 42-44. Someone out there remembers this book because we all had a copy of it. I know I have one around here somewhere, but Lord only knows where.
