Yes it is, Mike.
We have only speculations
(some more informed than others) about why
the Navy wanted "14-Volt R-23s" late in the war,
or even after the war as some Acceptance Test
markings give, IIRC, a 1947 date (don't trust my
memory on that).
Given the stupid and needless destruction of
Navy technical records in the late 2000s to 2010s,
speculation is likely all we'll ever have.
Is yours the A.R.C. build, or the one-
starts with an "L"- which had a bent metal
chassic vs. A.R.C.'s stamped?
