There was a time when I would have jumped on that! Looks like the UHF
version of an ARC-1. The 2C39 was certainly an enabling technology for a
practical UHF aircraft transmitter. The most interesting thing about that
tube is that 80 years later it is still being manufactured by Eimac!
Note that the PAs in the ARC-12, 19, 27, and 33 were all very similar.
