Using the notation ZBX for any of the ZB adapters/ demodulators in service in 1945 is most likely accurate. What isn’t likely is having 2 of the ZB type devices in use on the same aircraft.

Found a reference in SHIPS 242A of 1945 (available on
Nicks website, navy-radio.com) that states that the ZBX
was redesignated AN/ARR-2.
I tend to believe that by 1945, the term ZB or ZBX just came
to used as a shorthand notation to describe any of the
sets for this system, regardless of the actual designation.
