[ARC5] My First Radio Experience

Probably 25 years ago I finished building a Ramsey 6M transceiver kit, threw a piece of wire up on the wall for an antenna and put out a call on 52.525.  I got a response right back.  Turned out it was an Amateur perhaps 5 miles way -  and it was his first contact on 6M, too.  Both of us were astonished to discover that our radios actually worked and we were really talking to someone else, despite decades of 2M experience.
