Craig,
Thank you for the reply. Meanwhile I made a little research and I
believe that the L-shaped antenna was the Collins 37R-1 for the VHF air
band. But, of course, this assumption needs verification.
On the early U-2 the L-shaped antenna was used with the A.R.C. Type 12
VHF COM radio.
