No resoldering nichrome! It has to be spot welded. I'm gonna look n see if I still have the pot from mine, I had gotten a replacement from Hue Miller a couple years ago. If I still have the older one, you can have it. It was still OK, just not the original one. 

Bummer. Otherwise either look for one that will handle the current of the 803 filament, or at its worst put in a couple very low ohm resistors and switch them as needed.

Hi All

One of the wire wound pots for filament control on my TBW-4 has a break in the wire.

I cleaned the break and added a parallel wire and attempted to solder the two.

The solder will not stick to the wire on the pot.   I tried different iron temperatures etc but to no avail.

Any ideas as  to alternate ways to fix this?   Photos attached.
