You first, clamp, or otherwise attach, a piece of flat aluminum, covered by a piece of waxed paper,  to the inside of the chopped out hole, fill the "hole" with JB Weld and smooth it out, then clamp another piece of flat alumimum covered with waxed paper to the outside, wait 24 hours, remove both pieces of aluminum and waxed paper, then smooth out the resulting patch with a fine file, if necessary, and/or very fine sandpaper, then paint with aluminum paint.Alrhough the result is most certainly not perfect, it is a lot better than the hole.So far, it has worked well enough. Since the patch is only being held in place by the edges, it is somewhat fragile.Ken W7EKBSent via the Samsung Galaxy S21 5G, an AT&T 5G smartphone

How do you use JB Weld on such thin metal ? I would sure like to see some before - after photos of such restoral work. I'm going to save the photos for my "interesting conversions" gallery.
