Not to get too far into the weeds, but just yesterday the US government 
filed suit against eBay for allowing the sale of various "harmful 
products" on it's platform:

Hopefully the effect of this won't just make eBay more inclined to ban 
or cancel sales of anything someone deems to be questionable.  Time will 
tell.
