At the CHRS museum, we have a WW-II Navy version of the pre-war NC 1-10,
nomenclature RBT-2. The "2" means the *third* contract, not necessarily (as
far as I know) a modification or improvement.

For what it's worth, it's hard to know what was meant at the time by many
of the three letter Navy radio names.  Maybe someone does?
