Try to find a service station. Most of the gas stations around here have been replaced by mini-marts. The service stations around here service cars; they stopped selling gas. Thus is probably because New Jersey is a full service state. Most states are self-service; I believe Oregon was the other full service state.

By the way, some of these mini-marts sell maps.
