[ARC5] Working on the FA-7989 / TRX-102

I found a crystal that worked in the FA-7989, and that in turn led me to discover that the trimmers visible behind the panel next to each crystal socket were actually trim-pots, not capacitors, and they don't adjust the frequency, they tune the front end for each channel.  So when I was supplying a substitute LO I needed to select and tune one of those pots to peak up the front end.  Interesting.

Yes.  I was surprised how very smooth it was except for the intermittent jumping up and down a volt or two when no battery was present.
