[ARC5] R-23/ARC-5, etc

Somehow i missed the 600 meter band when i was in my formative SWL years. I had coverage of the 'beacon band' up to 400 kcs, but it was
dull dull dull, never listened there twice. Later in the 1970s i listened some to the CW traffic in the 8 MHz band. There were some amazing
distinct CW notes there, some hilarious. Oh, and i did build a one - valve VLF receiver earlier, which copied a bunch of USN VLF stations. I still
am pretty sure this station never used "DE", i still maintain it sent "VVV VVV VVV NPG/NLK".
This city, Newport Oregon, had some LF beacon station near the Yaquina lighthouse. It shows up on the old charts. I don't know when it was
removed but they did a thorough job, nary a remnant and no local knows anything about it.
