Back when the supply was "endless", there was no reason for the general person to have any interest in "restoration",
even if at that time this merely meant collecting all the related items of the original system. Like all the bags for the
TRC-2 set maybe; try to find them all now ! You probably could at one time. Or bags for the BC-474/ SCR-288. They
maybe made good hiking packs at one time. Anyway they got real thinned out.
It's really a pity some of the historic aircraft weren't kept around, like Japanese aircraft. Instead they were examined
and then after the war, metal scrap. But at the time if it wasn't obviously useful, i suppose a lot of this war leftover was
viewed with the same disinterest as we might view a beat up, greasy old microwave oven set next to a dumpster.
