As I understand it, the postwar Type 12 equipment have pot caps of similar configuration and values but vastly superior to the WWII equipment, so I guess one option would be to rob some out the later less venerated equipment.  I have a couple of ARN-30 receivers and a matching converter that I am thinking about examining for donor purposes.  And yes, they came, free, with dynaverters.  It pays to friends with people who are refitting older aircraft for modern use.  In addition to the ARN-30's I got an ARC-114  that works fine with the loss pass filter, an ARN-89, a King Navaid, a 400 HZ power converter, an ID-250/ARN, and various bits and pieces including a 5 amp Variac.
