Which coils are you using?
Go from "stem to stern" and look for Hi-Z grounds.
Give them a tweak to break-up oxidation.
Look at the banana jacks that connect the coils
and the power plugs. Is the base ring- soldered in place
holding the jack- loose? Resoldering them can be a challenge.
Look at the tube bases for bad solder joints. Give each pin
a small drop of De-Ox-It where the rivet holds each pin
assembly together. Then reinsert the tube and give it a gentle,
circular motion to work the De-Ox-It into the pin socket assembly.
This is a favourite place for oxidation between the parts.
If you have a dual coil, you'll need to disassemble it
and De-Ox-It the rotary contacts. Contact me before you
start and I'll give you a step=by=step to make this easier.
Do you need more coils? If so which ones?
I have extras that need a good home. Postage only.
